One of our random car conversations:
Kate: Mommy, who am I going to marry?
Me: I don't know.
Kate: WHAT?!?!? You mean I am going to marry someone you don't even KNOW?!?!? A STRANGER?!?!? I am really going to marry a STRANGER?!?!?
Me: No, I mean. . .(interrupted)
Kate: Well. . .that's okay. . .strangers do really seem to like me. . .

I Just HAD to!
Kate: I can't believe Daddy wouldn't let me have dessert. . .ON PURPOSE!!!
Me: You know why you didn't get dessert. You were arguing with Daddy and got it taken away.
Kate: But, he took it. . .
Me: Well, why did you argue? You knew he said he would take your dessert if you argued again.
Kate: I just HAD to!
Me: Why did you have to?
Kate: HE argued with ME and I had the right answer!!!
